What is “assisted purchase” and how it works

TLDR: Our team will handle the publishing once you place the order.

The price includes our service, publisher, and marketplace fees.

You provide the content.

We’ll work with marketplaces and independent sellers and sometimes contact publishers directly to get your content live.

You choose the publisher, add a Google Doc link with your content, and pay. Make sure the Doc is set to “visible to everyone.”

Right now, we only support general content. No restricted niches like gambling, adult, crypto, pharma, etc.

Why did we build this?

Because users asked for it.

Marketplaces made guest posting easier. FatGrid made marketplaces easier to navigate.

But working across several marketplaces brings problems:

Payments – Many users don’t want to enter credit card details on multiple sites.

Order success is about 70% on average, but it’s slow and messy. Rejected topics, content rules, and price or availability changes eat up time.

Refunds – They often come as marketplace credits or include fees. That’s fine if you use them frequently. But for one-time users, it’s a mess.

How assisted purchase helps

  1. All payments go through FatGrid. We handle the rest.
  2. If your order fails with one marketplace, we’ll try another or contact the publisher.
  3. We’ll check if your content meets the rules. If minor edits fix it, we’ll make them for you.
  4. If it still doesn’t work out, you’ll get a full refund to the original form of payment.

This feature is experimental. It helps us step into our users’ shoes and pushes us to improve the quality of our product.
